Colorado Open Lands, a non-profit dedicated to the preservation of natural resources, gave Chips Barry, manager of Denver Water, the 2007 George E. Kranmer Award Monday night in a ceremony at the Colorado History Museum.
Barryhas managed the department since 1991. The award is named after the first director of Denver’s Department of Parks and Recreation, who created Red Rocks Theater and the Winter Park ski resort.
