Keystone celebrates the kickoff of its 2007-08 season with the fourth annual 36 Hours of Keystone event from 9 a.m. Friday to 9 p.m. Saturday. The ski resort plans to remain open for 36 consecutive hours with festivities including 36 hours of live bands, a summit sunrise breakfast and skiing and riding under the lights all night.
As always, the main event will be the 36-hour team challenge, where teams of two to four skiers and snowboarders who complete at least one lap every hour will be entered to win a $3,600 cash prize ($1,800 for second and $900 for third). An entry fee of $265 per team includes a Friday- night stay in a one-bedroom condominium in River Run Village.
Teams must register at on a first-come, first-served basis. The number of teams is limited.
