Mostly mild weather in the metro area will give way to a cold front, cloudy skies and a chance of snow by mid-week, according to the National Weather Service.

Today’s high temperature in the Denver-area will climb to about 40, and tonight’s low will be about 20 degrees.

Tuesday’s weather in the metro area should be mostly sunny, with high temperatures in the mid-50s.

Wednesday’s Denver-area forecast calls for a 30 percent chance of snow with high temperatures in the lower 30s.

After a break Thursday, snow is back in the forecast for Friday and Saturday, with a slight chance of snow Sunday, according to the weather service.
