The Colorado Crush of the Arena Football League on Wednesday signed two former NFL players to its preseason roster, moving to 12 the number of players signed this offseason.

The Crush added wide receiver Aaron Hosack, a 6-foot-5, 210-pounder who last season played with the Frankfurt Galaxy in NFL Europe. He originally signed with the Minnesota Vikings in 2004.

Charrod Taylor, a 6-2, 286-pound defensive lineman, was on the New York Giants’ practice squad before being released in the preseason.

Mines’ Schiechl, Edmiston honored. Marc Schiechl, a freshman defensive end at Colorado Mines, was named to the NCAA Division II all-Southwest Region second team.

Schiechl, a graduate of Bear Creek High School, ranked third in D-II with 13 sacks this season.

Kaity Edmiston, a middle blocker on the Mines volleyball team, was named to the all-Southwest Region team by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. The sophomore from Palisade High School led the Orediggers in blocks, solo blocks and points.
