DENVER—The Denver Nuggets waived veteran guard Mike Wilks Wednesday.
The 5-foot-10 Wilks averaged 3 points and 1.5 rebounds in eight games for the team this season.
Denver signed Wilks Oct. 27 to help out at guard after Anthony Carter broke his hand and Chucky Atkins suffered a severe groin strain.
Wilks strained his right hamstring Nov. 4 in the Nugget’s 93-88 loss to the Hornets.
