First-daughter Jenna Bush signed her book, “Ana’s Story: A Journey of Hope,” tonight at the Tattered Cover in LoDo.
President George Bush’s daughter told the Deseret Morning News in a story today that she met “Ana” (not her real name) — a young woman infected with HIV/AIDS at birth — when she was an intern for UNICEF.
“When I first met her, I thought she would be sad, scared. But she lives with unbelievable optimism,” Bush told the Deseret News. “She is always so positive. She has education about her disease that her mother didn’t have. She’s working to break the cycle of ignorance and abuse.”
The Secret Service screened guests, and the Tattered Cover website offered a long list of prohibited items, such as weapons, backpacks, poles, sticks and umbrellas.
