COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Colorado Springs police have arrested a woman accused of helping a man who was shot and killed while allegedly trying to hold up a liquor store.

Police say they believe Marsha Mallory drove Gibran Gayton to Jet-Way Liquors on Tuesday night.

Police say the 21-year-old Gayton was shot and killed by the store owner, 74-year-old Charles Kellogg.

Kellogg has not been arrested, and the district attorney will decide whether he should be charged. Colorado law gives workers in businesses the right to protect themselves from imminent injury.

The 34-year-old Mallory was held on a charge of accessory to attempted robbery.
