Just in time for Frontier’s new nonstop service from Denver International Airport to San Jose, Costa Rica, that started two days ago, the daughter of the guru of budget travel (Arthur Frommer) has come out with “Pauline Frommer’s Costa Rica”($19.99, Wiley).
With their trademarked “Spend Less See More” subtitles, the books in this relatively new series have become known for their younger focus and hipper outlook than Dad’s guides, and “Costa Rica” is right along with them.
“Kool for Kids” is Pauline Frommer’s way of offering up ideas for the under-12 crowd, but otherwise the author lists clubs and restaurants that keep all ages in mind, lodging and activities for a variety of lifestyles and even occasionally comes up with ideas for sightseeing that gets tourists away from the beaten path.
