If you’re looking for a cool place to camp, consider a lavender farm near the Four Corners or a horse sanctuary south of the Denver metro area.
Those are two of the top 12 places to camp in Colorado, according to Hipcamp users. Hipcamp is an app that helps travelers find unique locales where they can pitch a tent, pull an RV or book a glamping accommodation. Similar to Airbnb, the app features private owners who open their properties to the public and sometimes build lodging as an attraction.
Recently, Hipcamp unveiled its annual awards, called the “best places to camp in the U.S.,” with a state-by-state breakdown of overnight destinations. The company used bookings, ratings and reviews across its platform to determine the spots that “offer some of the most incredible camping experiences in the world,” it stated.
