Aurora police officers Tasered a naked man who was arrested as an “uncooperative” sexual-assault suspect.

The 38-year-old man, who was not identified, was taken to the Aurora City Jail and held on suspicion of sexual assault and kidnapping, police said.

Police were called at about 6:25 p.m. Tuesday to the 1200 block of South Buckley Road on a report of a sexual assault in progress, said Shannon Lucy, a police spokeswoman.

When officers arrived, they found a woman and a nude man behind a business, Lucy said.

The man was “uncooperative, forcing an officer to use his Taser on the suspect prior to being able to handcuff him,” Lucy said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, treated and released, Lucy said.

Investigators believe the victim and the suspect met for the first time just a few hours before the alleged assault, Lucy said.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Detective Scott Burgess at 303-739-6064.
