Republican Wil Armstrong has officially entered the race for the 6th Congressional seat, making him one of three Republicans running to replace U.S. Rep. Tom Tacredo.
Armstrong, the son of former U.S. Sen. Bill Armstrong, is the chief executive officer of Blueberry Systems, LLC, which specializes in creating technology for the mortgage lending industry.
Armstrong faces Secretary of State Mike Coffman and state Sen. Ted Harvey, R-Highlands Ranch, in the primary. Republicans outnumber Democrats in the district, which includes Douglas and Elbert counties. Whoever wins the August primary is likely to win the general election.
