In a taped segment airing today on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” author Jenna Bush phones home to the White House.
Bush, who is promoting her new book, “Ana’s Story: A Journey of Hope,” and who was in Denver recently at the Tattered Cover in LoDo, calls her dad, President Bush, and her mom, Laura, on the show.
Bush seems a bit nervous as she dials, but her parents — and Ellen — play along.
“They’re going to kill me. I’m going to be in such trouble,” says Jenna, thinking her parents might have wanted some warning.
The First Lady does pick up the line, and hands the phone over to the president, who sends good wishes to the audience and tells Jenna that he loves her.
The segment airs at 3 p.m. today on KUSA-Channel 9.
