SILVERTHORNE — Silverthorne Police Chief Joe Russell will resign to study for a doctorate in clinical psychology, the city announced Thursday. Russell, who was appointed chief in August 2005, will leave the job Jan. 4.
“We are sorry to have Joe leave, but we wish him the best in his schooling and new opportunities. We were very pleased to have someone this accomplished in law enforcement serve our community,” Silverthorne Town Manager Kevin Batchelder said in a release.
