GREELEY, Colo.—Prosecutors have filed a charge of child abuse causing death against a Greeley man whose 13-week-old daughter died earlier this month.
The Weld County District Attorney’s Office says 30-year-old John Hernandez was due to be arraigned Jan. 19.
Police reports indicate his daughter, Johnnyce, was brought to a hospital Dec. 5 with numerous injuries on her body.
If convicted as charged, Hernandez could face a sentence of 16 to 48 years in prison.
