
UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN: Announced that Denver resident Harry A. Trueblood Jr. received the Distinguished Engineering Graduate Award. Trueblood, who earned his bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from the university in 1948, started a small company in 1955 that evolved into Consolidated Oil & Gas. He is currently owner of HAT Resources LLC and vice president/treasurer of his Harry Trueblood Foundation.
JANE SILVERSTEIN RIES FOUNDATION: Civic activist and former Denver City Councilwoman Susan Barnes-Gelt was recently recognized with the foundation’s annual award for her sense of awareness and stewardship of land-use values in the Rocky Mountain Region.
