New Mexico’s Taos Ski Valley announced last weekend it officially will abandon its nearly 55-year tradition as a skiers-only mountain and open its arms to snowboarding on March 19, 2008. The change in policy leaves Deer Valley and Alta in Utah and Mad River Glen in Vermont as the only remaining areas in the nation that remain exclusive to skiers.
