NEW YORK — Goldman Sachs Group’s 2007 bonus pool rose 23 percent to a record $12.1 billion as Wall Street’s biggest securities firm made revenue and profit history for a fourth consecutive year. Total compensation, including salaries, benefits and bonuses, climbed to $20.2 billion from $16.5 billion last year, the company said Tuesday. Bonuses, which typically account for about 60 percent of pay, increased from $9.88 billion in 2006. Goldman, which paid chief executive Lloyd Blankfein a record $54 million last year, reported Tuesday that fourth-quarter profit gained 2 percent.
