Denver International Airport is offering one hour of free parking in its garages from Saturday through Monday.
DIA officials said the move is aimed at reducing use of the busy free lot where motorists can wait up to 45 minutes before coordinating by cellphone to pick up arriving passengers.
The parking garage at DIA normally costs $2 an hour.
DIA said it expects 1,062,414 passengers in the week running from today through Monday. That’s up from 1,025,256 passengers in the year-ago period.
