DENVER — A veteran arts professor who climbed the ranks at the University of Colorado Denver to become provost will take the top job at a private Lutheran university in Indiana.
Mark Heckler, 52, will be the next president of Valparaiso University, officials said Tuesday.
Heckler started at UC Denver in 1995 as the director of the School of Arts. He was named university provost in January 2004.
