It says here the Broncos have something to play for. They need to prove to themselves they belong on the same field as the Chargers.
The combined score of the past two Broncos-Chargers games? Try 89-23. San Diego won 48-20 last year at San Diego and 41-3 earlier this season at Invesco Field at Mile High.
No, beating the Chargers or playing them tough wouldn’t matter in the standings. But it would make the Broncos feel a little bit better about themselves as they head into an uncertain off-season.
