Merry Christmas, haiku writers! This week, trying to keep clear about the reason for the season, we asked entrants to The Denver Post $25 Haiku Contest to mull “peace on Earth.” Haiku expressing tiny tidings of joy flowed in fast and furious. We liked the verse by Chantel Fernandez of Durango best:
Inside peace begins,
but on the outside of us,
is where it’s needed
