It won’t be too long before all that’s left of lingering snowmen in Denver are their carrot noses.

Today’s weather will be partly sunny in Denver as high temperatures in the area race toward the 50 degree mark.

Yesterday’s high temperature – 35 degrees – happened just before midnight, according to the National Weather Service, and the warming trend will continue over the next couple of days.

Saturday’s high temperatures in Denver and along the Front Range are forecast to climb into the mid-50s, the weather service reports.

Tonight’s overnight low in the Denver area should about 21 degrees.

On Monday a weather disturbance will bring cooler weather and a slight chance of snow to Denver. The day’s high temperature should be about 39 degrees, the weather service said.

Statewide Colorado will be dry for the most part over the next few days, but some mountain areas will see a chance of snow. The chance for mountain snow will increase Saturday night into Sunday and remain in the forecast early next week.Kieran Nicholson: 303-954-1822 or knicholson@denverpost.com.
