Value Media Inc., an Avon-based publisher of “The Parents Handbook for Summit and Eagle Counties,” has hooked up with Summit Management Co. to resurrect the County Cable newspaper. The first publication will hit the newsstands Jan. 18 in Summit and Eagle counties.
Established in 1974, the newspaper began as the Copper Cable, aimed at homeowners in Copper Mountain Resort. The paper will be published monthly initially, with plans to become a biweekly publication. Led by Colorado newspaper veteran Randy Wyrick, the paper will cover local and regional issues as well as arts, entertainment and business.
