Vail Square hotel ready to open
The 36-room hotel and conference-center component of The Arrabelle at Vail Square will open for business this month.
The Arrabelle, designed by the Denver office of 4240 Architecture, carves out a new town square for Lionshead and replaces the old gondola building and Sunbird Lodge with condominiums, hotel rooms and retail spaces.
The entire complex, developed by Vail Resorts Development Co., is expected to be completed this summer.
Study: More people moved into Colorado than out
Colorado continued its five-year trend of having more people move into the state than out, according to United Van Lines’ annual migration study.
United reported that 53.4 percent of Colorado moves were going into the state.
Nationally, movement out of the Great Lakes region increased in 2007, while the South and West generally showed an inbound migration trend.
Ravena, in Waterton Canyon, begins building more homes
Ravena, a new 634-acre community in Waterton Canyon, is starting on the next phase of development, which will include construction of more than $400 million in homes.
The private community, which sold more than $50 million in real estate in 2007, is also introducing resort-style services and amenities, including guided hikes and fishing excursions.
Future plans for the development include Gusto’s Italian market, a wellness center and an exhibition kitchen.
Four counties sell delinquent tax certificates in online auction
Sales of delinquent tax certificates in Weld, Arapahoe, Adams and Denver counties totaled more than $17 million during a recent online auction conducted by .
“In our first Internet tax lien sale, we achieved our primary goal of selling all our tax liens,” said Ken Sigley, delinquent tax manager for Adams County in a written statement. “Also, early feedback from investors shows that they were satisfied with the premium levels and very pleased with the easy availability of property research online.”
