COLORADO SPRINGS — Matthew Murray, the 24-year-old who killed four people at two religious organizations Dec. 9, put his gun in his mouth and fired, causing the fatal wound, according to an autopsy report released Tuesday.
Murray also suffered two “distant” gunshot wounds to the left thigh, causing injuries described by El Paso County coroner Dr. Robert Bux as “superficial.”
Murray was dressed with a black ammo vest over a gray jacket and a long-sleeve shirt. An orange cord necklace with a pair of ear plugs, a black cord necklace with two pentagrams and the eye of Ra medallion were found around his neck. He had $239.50 in his pocket.
