Influential art exhibits in Phoenix
The Phoenix Art Museum has one important exhibit on display from Richard Avedon and another set to begin in March featuring Ralph Rucci. From now until April 13 view “Richard Avedon: Photographer of Influence,” with more than 50 photographs from the artist’s celebrity-heavy collection. “Chado Ralph Rucci,” 25 pieces from the couture designer, runs March 21- Aug. 17. San Diego Restaurant Weeks
San Diego will offer its fourth annual Restaurant Week Jan. 27-Feb. 1, with about 130 eateries serving three-course, prix fixe meals for $30 or $40 per person. Visit the website for participating restaurants and menus. Another San Diego Restaurant Week occurs June 22-27.
Tie the knot in Atlantic City, N.J.
The Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority will host a free, nondenominational group wedding, vow renewal and civil union ceremony on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, at 2 p.m. in Boardwalk Hall. The event includes a wedding cake. Couples must register by Feb. 1 and obtain the necessary documents (there’s a three-day wait for a license in New Jersey).
