(Last week’s ratings in parentheses)
1. (1) New England: Got a feeling the Jaguars will cool off this week.
2. (2) Indianapolis: The Colts owe the Chargers a little bit.
3. (3) Dallas: T.O. needs to be ready.
4. (4) Green Bay: Mike Holmgren knows plenty about Green Bay in January.
5. (5) Jacksonville: The Jaguars get the first crack at Patriots. Luck to them.
6. (6) San Diego: The Chargers have to be better against the Colts than they were against the Titans.
7. (8) Seattle: Seattle just as good on the road as they are at home. That’s not good in the playoffs.
8. (7) New York Giants: The Giants can give Dallas trouble if Eli Manning delivers.
ON THE MOVE
New York Giants
In a weekend with little movement, let’s give the nod to the team that pulled off the road upset in the wild-card round. In the AFC, Jacksonville was expected to beat Pittsburgh, but the Giants were an underdog and totally controlled Tampa Bay. This team is dangerous, but let’s see if it can step up against divisional-rival Dallas.
