Snowshoe excursions at Glacier
“Winter Signs,” free two-hour park interpreter-guided snowshoe excursions, are offered at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays until March 16 in Glacier National Park, Mont. Aspen-to-Basalt benefit tour
“Town to Town Tour,” a cross country ski and snowshoe tour benefiting the nonprofit Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers organization starts at 10 a.m. Saturday at Stein Park on Cemetery Lane in Aspen. Participants can use cross country skis or snowshoes for the tour, which ends in Basalt. The tour is 14.5 miles, with a stopping point at the 8-mile mark in Woody Creek, where participants can be taken back to Aspen. Early registration: $30 individual, $40 per family.
