The University of Denver’s No. 15-ranked gymnastics team squeaked out a 194.900-190.475 victory over Washington on Saturday in front of a sellout crowd that came to see the meet and special guests Nadia Comaneci and Bart Conner.

DU won four individual titles: Jessica Lopez (all-around, balance beam), Nikki Brown (balance beam), Courtney Butler (uneven bars) and Sasha Sullivan (floor exercise).

The University of Denver ski team got second-place finishes from Jenny Lathrop in the giant slalom and Rene Reisshauer in the nordic 15-kilometer freestyle and finished second in the team standings at the University of Utah Invitational in Park City.

Colorado’s Maria Grevsgaard won the women’s 10K freestyle race to lead the Buffs to a third-place finish.

Chad Rau scored two goals, and Jimmy Kilpatrick had the game-winner and two assists as Colorado College completed a weekend sweep of Alaska-Anchorage with a 5-2 win. . . . Air Force got two goals from Derrick Burnett, his first goals of the season, but lost 4-3 in overtime to Rochester Tech.
