Two men were killed after a speeding Lincoln Continental in which they were riding smashed into a traffic-light pole on South Kipling Street just south of West Belleview Avenue and burst into flames, authorities say.
The driver was identified as Brady Kraft, 21, of Morrison. Kraft was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jefferson County coroner.
The passenger was identified as 21-year-old Steven Senterr of Lakewood.
Investigators believe the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the 10:03 p.m. Friday accident, said Trooper Ryan Sullivan, spokesman for the Colorado State Patrol. Neither man was wearing a seat belt, he said.
Senterr was taken to Swedish Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead, he said.
