PUEBLO — An FBI agent has been arrested for investigation of child sexual assault by someone in a position of trust, officials say.
David A. Johnson, 53, of Pueblo West was arrested Sunday at his home and is being held in the Pueblo County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail, Sheriff Kirk Taylor said.
The investigation began Jan. 2, he said, and it is continuing. Johnson was placed in the jail’s medical ward for his safety because he is a law enforcement officer, Taylor said.
