ARVADA — Police have arrested a 53-year-old woman in connection with the strangling of her mother, 87.
Louise Jekowski was taken into custody Thursday and is being held at the Jefferson County Jail on suspicion of first-degree murder.
Arvada police said Louise Jekowski and her mother, Ardyce Jekowski, lived together on Newcombe Street near West 68th Avenue.
Police said they were initially called to the home on a report of a person not breathing, but it was later reclassified a homicide.
