Dave Student makes his living tying custom flies, which suggests that a lot of people are hooked on the product. The Westminster resident will tell many of his secrets for free at a Feb. 2 session at Rocky Mountain Anglers, 1904 Arapahoe Ave., Boulder.
Student will fill the 10 a.m.-2 p.m. session with a nimble-fingered demonstration of a revolutionary sideways crab, the popular Merkin crab pattern, favorite bonefish patterns for Ascension Bay and Belize and a favorite streamer for baby tarpon and snook.
