OLATHE — Carbon monoxide poisoning may have killed a 17-month-old boy and his grandfather, authorities said.
Truett Simoens and 72-year-old Julian Beamer were found not breathing Saturday in Beamer’s home, where the boy had stayed Friday night, Montrose County Sheriff Rick Dunlap said. The boy’s grandmother, who was found breathing, was hospitalized.
Truett’s parents went to the home Saturday after they were unable to reach the Beamers by phone.
