Something in the range of 15,000 horses, cattle, sheep, swine, goats, llamas, bison, yaks, birds and rabbits are at the heart of the National Western Stock Show, but the soul of the big Denver ag confab is the people. They are folks who travel from far away to show their animals, sell their wares or display amazing grit in the ring. They are the volunteers from a few neighborhoods over. They are the little kids.
