A cold front out of Wyoming will push through northeastern Colorado this morning helping to keep Denver’s high temperature today below freezing.

In the Colorado high country the northern mountains have been getting a good dose of snow, Rabbit Ears Pass has received about a foot of powder in the past 12 hours, and it’s expected to continue this morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Today’s high temperature in Denver should be about 26 degrees under partly sunny skies, the weather service said.

Tomorrow there will be a bit of a warm-up in Denver with a high near 40 and mostly sunny skies.

Weekend weather in Denver looks pleasant with high temperatures forecast in the mid to upper 40s and lots of sunshine.

After snow in the northern mountains moves out today the high country should go through a short dry spell overnight. But a Pacific front over California is expected to bring an increased chance of snow to the Colorado mountains Thursday night into Friday.
