Drag the River will release its new disc, “You Can’t Live This Way,” at 3 Kings Tavern tonight with opener Scott Reynolds, ostensibly a reunion show in light of the band’s on-again/off-again status. DTR already has a string of dates booked through mid-February on its Myspace page. Is this the return of Fort Collins’ country-punk heroes? Let’s hope so. 9 p.m. $10. .

Tom Hagerman will display his dizzying multi-instrumental skills on Saturday at CU-Boulder’s Old Main Theatre. The DeVotchKa member plays accordion, violin, cello, viola, glockenspiel and more. He recently released the solo disc “The Breakfast Playground.” 8 p.m. $9.50. .

Dave Valentin will bring his crack backing band to a 20th-anniversary show at the Antlers Hilton Hotel in Colorado Springs on Saturday. The Grammywinning jazz flutist’s show benefits the Pikes Peak Community Foundation. 8 p.m. $25. 719-389-1253, Ext. 100.
