McCOOK, Neb.—McCook Community College officials say head volleyball coach Gary Payne has been fired.
Richard Tubbs, the school’s vice president, said in a Saturday release that Payne violated the school’s conduct rules for coaches. No other information was provided.
The university says that a coaching search will begin at once.
A call to university spokesman Chuck Salestrom by The Associated Press was not immediately returned.
