AURORA, Colo.—Aurora police say a pedestrian has died after being struck by a pickup truck that also collided with three stopped vehicles.
Police say the 22-year-old Denver man was trying to cross an intersection against a red pedestrian crossing symbol.
Police say 71-year-old pickup driver Richard Elliot of Elizabeth, ran a red light, swerved and struck the pedestrian in the crosswalk before colliding with three vehicles that were stopped at the intersection.
The pedestrian’s name was withheld until family could be notified.
Police say the driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
It was not immediately known whether charges would be filed.
