Getting your player ready...
After a 20-year hiatus, elite-level cycling will return to Colorado this summer with the Colorado Stage International Cycle Classic on Aug. 22-24.
The three-stage race will include a ride from Breckenridge to Vail, a circuit race in Vail Village and a time trial from Vail Village to the East Vail cul-de-sac, retracing a time trial course used by the Coors Classic.
The event is a project of the Vail Valley Foundation, which stages the annual World Cup ski races at Beaver Creek and twice organized world ski championships. The foundation brought the 1992 UCI World Cup finals and world mountain bike championships in 1994 and 2001 to Vail.
