It was raining so hard when the Patriots arrived in Phoenix on Sunday night, some players said they missed the snow of Massachusetts. OK, it’s not so bad here, but the weather hasn’t been what one would expect in the Valley of the Sun, even for late January. Isn’t this where snowbirds flock? On Monday, the only folks in Phoenix wearing shorts were NBA players. Not all is lost, though. Today’s forecast calls for sunny skies. “The sun will come out for us,” said New England linebacker Tedy Bruschi, a University of Arizona alum. “I hope.”
