The University of Colorado women’s basketball team had trouble finding the basket Wednesday and lost its third straight road game, 65-45 to Iowa State (13-6, 2-4 Big 12).

The Buffs (13-7, 2-5) shot 31 percent and were held to fewer than 50 points for the second consecutive game. The last time that happened was in the 1983-84 season.

San Diego State 86, Colorado State 52

  • SAN DIEGO – The Aztecs (12-7, 3-4 Mountain West) cruised to a 43-22 halftime lead in the rout. Sara Hunter and Elle Queen each had 11 points for CSU (2-17, 0-6).

    BYU 52, Air Force 47

  • PROVO, UTAH – Trailing 50-47, the Falcons had two 3-pointers blocked, and the Cougars (10-8, 4-2 MWC) sank three free throws with five seconds left for the win. Freshman Raimee Beck led Air Force (7-11, 1-5) with 13 points.

    Men

    Wyoming 69, Utah 64

  • SALT LAKE CITY Brandon Ewing and Brad Jones combined for 38 points and Wyoming (8-11, 2-5 MWC) won back-to-back games for the first time this season.

    Ewing had 15 points — all on 3-pointers — as the Cowboys built a 34-28 halftime lead.
