An explosion tonight in a house in Castle Pines Village injured two workers hanging cabinets.
Sprinklers in the house in Douglas County, at 5090 Hidden Pond Place, quickly put out a small fire, South Metro Fire Rescue Chief Mike Dell’Orfano said.
“There were some potentially flammable vapors, leading to an explosion,” which blew out basement windows, Dell’Orfano said.
The workers suffered burns to the hands and face and were taken to Swedish Medical Center. A husband and wife, apparently home at the time, were not injured.
