Now in its 32nd year, the West Denver Fly Tying Clinic just keeps getting bigger.
More than five dozen elite fly designers will demonstrate their nimble-fingered best at Saturday’s event that runs from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, West Sixth Avenue at Indiana Street.
Admission is $10 at the door, with $2 discount coupons available at local fly shops and at .

Wyoming Range clout.
The bid to protect the Wyoming Range from extensive oil and gas development has gained the support of the 18,000-member state AFL-CIO. The labor group joins with Sportsmen for the Wyoming Range, a coalition that earlier persuaded Republican Sen. John Barrasso to sponsor federal legislation to safeguard the area. Democratic Gov. Dave Freudenthal also is a vocal advocate of protection for the mountain range along Wyoming’s western border.

The Colorado Division of Wildlife will host free clinics 6-8 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday at the indoor archery range at the agency’s Lamar office, 2500 S. Main St. The first clinic will be geared for youngsters, the second for adults.
