CHICAGO — Wheat surged to a record Wednesday as dwindling North American supplies of high-protein varieties of the grain pushed prices higher.
Wheat for March delivery jumped as much as 27 cents, or 2.6 percent, to $10.60 a bushel in after-hours trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
