A Douglas County elementary school staffer who works in a computer lab allegedly took showers with two brothers several years ago when the boys were preteens, according to court documents.

Michael Patrick Willis, 36, who has been placed on administrative leave from his position at Fox Creek Elementary School in Douglas County, has been charged with three counts of unlawful sexual conduct.

Willis showered with the boys when they were about 10 years old and he was their baseball coach, one of the alleged victims, who is now 18, told Englewood Police.

The allegations came to light recently when the 18-year-old was being interviewed during an Arapahoe County Juvenile Assessment Center program.

In the interview the 18-year-old told an “intake officer” about the allegations and police were contacted.

The alleged victim turned 18 today.

It’s not clear why he was being assessed by the juvenile center.

The second alleged victim has declined to talk with police about the allegations because “he’s extremely scared” of the defendant, according to an arrest affidavit.

The alleged incidents happened about 25 times between April 2000 and June 2000 at Willis’ home, court documents said.

The victim who is cooperating with police told investigators that Willis, at the time of the alleged assaults, had a large collection of video games at his home. The alleged victim “believes he had the games to cater to kids,” the affidavit said.

Willis didn’t physically touch the alleged victim, the affidavit states, but he did masturbate while in the shower.

Eventually the boy came “to realize something was wrong” and told his mother, who was dating Willis, about the alleged incidents.

According to the affidavit, the victim’s mother confronted Willis about the allegations, but “he wouldn’t respond.”

The boy’s mother told Willis to stop showering with her sons and when he “ignored the request” she “stopped the relationship,” the affidavit states.

Willis has been charged with three felony counts of sex assault — inducing or coercing a child to expose themselves.

He has no previous arrest records in the state, according to Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

Willis’ next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 13.
