A bill to dedicate $2 million to shorten the waiting list for services for people with developmental disabilities cleared its first hurdle Thursday.
The measure from Rep. Bob Gardner, R-Colorado Springs, originally called for spending $8.6 million.
The bill passed the House Health and Human Services Committee 12-0.
