Colorado Springs police are searching for a suspect after two young men were fatally shot early this morning during a party at an apartment.
Police also found two men with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds at a Sonic Drive-In, 2302 S. Academy Blvd., which is only a few blocks from where the fatal shootings happened. Authorities say they were shot in the same incident.
Police found the body of a man inside an apartment on the 2100 block of Delta Drive following an emergency call at 2:35 a.m., said Sgt. Scott Schwall of the Colorado Springs Police Department.
The second person was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Schwall said.
The two dead men were identified Saturday afternoon as Darrell Mitchell, 20, and Samone Robinson, 21.
The injured men were identified as Derek Austin, 29, and Maurice Magazine, 21.
Witnesses said they were having a party when someone began shooting. The motive was not immediately known.
Detectives are interviewing witnesses who were at the party.
No arrests have been made.
