GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—The Mesa County Sheriff’s office reports that a gun technician was seriously wounded while repairing a weapon.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Heather Benjamin said Kenny Franklin, 53, was shot Saturday in Jerry’s Outdoors Sports. He was working on a .243-caliber rifle a customer had brought in for repairs.
He remained in serious condition Sunday at St. Mary’s Hospital.
