COPPER MOUNTAIN, Colo.—Wildlife officials killed an aggressive coyote that was roaming a ski resort.

Officials killed the coyote after a man reported the animal charged toward his 3-year-old son during a ski trip Saturday. The man says they scared the animal away and nothing happened.

The ski lift and run on Copper Mountain was closed after Saturday’s scare while Division of Wildlife officials hunted for the animal and killed it. The coyote is being tested for diseases.

Wildlife officials say the animal tried to bite a person on the arm in another incident.
